Waterfall training means staging lower-tier troops and promoting them through available tiers during the scoring window. Its value depends on your actual training times, resource costs and event rules.
- Prepare a list of each possible promotion, its displayed duration and the points awarded by the event.
- Compare the complete sequence with training the final tier directly. Include resources and queue capacity, not just the shortest individual promotion.
- Start with a small batch to verify the score increase before committing speedups or a full troop inventory.
The details behind the decision
Points per hour = points earned ÷ queue hours used. For a promotion chain, sum all steps’ points and time first. Compare like-for-like troop counts and include any points already earned earlier.
What is confirmed—and what isn’t
Correction: promotions do not have a verified blanket entitlement to the same points as training fresh higher-tier troops. The archived sentence making that claim is unsupported; use the active event scoring table.
